Overview

Review2Idea is an AI-powered service that analyzes public app reviews from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store to identify user pain points, discover product opportunities, and generate actionable reports, PRDs, and marketing content.

This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who processes it on our behalf, and what choices you have.

Information We Collect

• Account information: email address, password (managed by Supabase Auth), and profile details such as your name and avatar.
• Google OAuth data: when you sign in with Google, your Google account profile information (name, email, profile picture) is shared with us.
• App search queries and submitted app URLs: the app names, URLs, and platform selections you enter.
• Public app review data: review author names, ratings, titles, body text, and dates collected from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
• Generated content: AI-generated analysis reports, pain point clusters, product opportunities, PRDs, and marketing drafts stored in your account.
• Engagement data: your feedback votes on product opportunities and report quality ratings.
• Guest and demo usage data: IP address, browser cookies, and usage timestamps for rate limiting and abuse prevention when using the service without an account.
• Subscription and billing data: when paid plans are available, your payment provider customer ID, subscription status, and related billing identifiers.
• Technical and error data: browser and device information, error reports, and performance traces collected via Sentry.

How We Use Your Information

• Provide and maintain your account, authentication, and session management.
• Run app review collection, filtering, AI clustering, analysis, and report generation.
• Store your analysis history and generated outputs so you can access them later.
• Enforce usage limits, prevent fraud and abuse, and protect the security of our services.
• Improve the quality and reliability of our product, including using aggregated feedback ratings to refine our AI analysis prompts.
• Monitor errors and service reliability through error tracking and performance monitoring.
• Process subscription payments and manage billing when paid plans are available.
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

Third-Party Processors

• Supabase: authentication, database hosting, and session management.
• Google: Google OAuth sign-in, Google Play app search and review data.
• Apple: App Store search and public review data feeds.
• AI Service Provider (Volcano Engine / OpenAI-compatible API): processes app metadata, review text, and derived analysis content to generate reports.
• Sentry: error monitoring, performance tracing, and crash reporting.
• Paddle: payment processing, subscription management, and tax compliance (Merchant of Record).
• External scraping services: may be used to supplement app review data collection when configured.

AI Processing

When you submit an app for analysis, Review2Idea sends app metadata, collected public review text, and derived analysis context to an AI service provider for processing. The AI provider generates clustering results, opportunity assessments, reports, PRDs, and marketing content.

Do not submit app URLs or any input that contains sensitive, confidential, or personally identifiable information that you do not want processed by third-party AI services. We do not control how AI providers handle data submitted to their APIs beyond their own published data usage policies.

Cookies and Local Storage

Review2Idea uses cookies and similar technologies for the following purposes:

• Locale preference: a cookie stores your selected language for consistent page display.
• Authentication: session cookies are used by Supabase Auth to maintain your logged-in state.
• Guest and demo limits: cookies track whether you have used a free guest or demo analysis to enforce usage limits.
• Analytics and error monitoring: Sentry may set cookies for error tracking and session replay on errors.

Data Retention

We retain your account data and analysis history for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual analyses from your dashboard, which removes the associated reports, clusters, opportunities, and review data.

Error and performance monitoring data is retained as operationally necessary. Guest and demo usage data (IP addresses and cookies) is retained for abuse prevention and may be periodically cleaned up.

Your Choices

• You can delete your analyses at any time from the dashboard.
• You can manage or revoke Google OAuth access through your Google account settings.
• You can clear cookies in your browser settings to reset guest/demo usage tracking.
• To request account deletion or data export, please contact us through the support channels provided on our website.

Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

International Data Transfers

Our services and third-party processors may operate in different jurisdictions. Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. By using Review2Idea, you consent to such transfers.

Children's Privacy

Review2Idea is not intended for use by children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 16, we will take steps to delete it promptly.

Changes and Contact

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will indicate the date of the last update at the top of this page. Continued use of Review2Idea after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
